After the lesson, Ss will be able to: -Ask and answer questions about Places to visit and Opinions on places. II. Language focus. - The vocabulary: exciting, beautiful, interesting, attractive. - The structure: - Tom thinks .... is more ... than he expected. III. Teaching aids. Books, teachers’ book, notebooks, cards and cassette. IV. Procedures. A. Class organization. Good morning/ afternoon! Who is absent today? B. Warm up. - Revising the previous lesson by inviting some pairs to act out the dialogue in Activity 1 in front of the class II. NEW LESSON 4. Listen and circle a or b -Tell Students that they are going to listen to the recording and circle a or b -Play the recording for Students to listen -Ask Students to listen again and do the task -Ask Students to give answers -Play the recording again for Students to listen and check -Give correct answers 1.b 2.b 3.a 5. Warm up. - Chatting with students Where were you last week? What did you do there? Which place would you like to visit? What do you think of there? C. New lesson. 1. Listen and repeat. -Tell the class that they are going to practice the questions and answer. Tell them to pay attention to the intonation of the sentences. -Ask Students to look at the book and listen - Play the recording for Ss listen again -Call some Students listen and repeat - Others give comments. Then say the sentences aloud. -Tell Students that they are going to listen and mark the intonation of each sentence. After the lesson, Ss will be able to: - Use the words and phrases related to the topic: comparing places. - Asking and answering questions to compare places (adjectives with one or two syllables) - Develop Ss listening and speaking skills. II. Language focus. 1. Vocabulary: Noisy, noisier, busier, large, larger, small, smaller, expensive, exciting, peaceful. 2. Sentence Patterns: + Which one is , or ? I think. III. Look, listen and repeat. - Ask Ss to look at the pictures and answer the questions: + Who are they? + Where are they? + What are they talking about? - Have them look at the book and listen to the tape. - Play the recording for Ss listen. - Ask them to repeat a few times.
