AIMS: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - use the words about topic clothes - ask and answer questions about the prices using How much is/ are ? It’s /They’re - practice reading, listening, reading and speaking. B. RESOURCES: Students’ book, TV, laptop, board. C. PROCEDURES 1. Warm up: Teacher points to the pictures and asks – Students answer. Example: 1. A: How much are the trousers? B: They are 82,000 dong. 2. A: How much is the shirt? B: It’s 55,000 dong. .1. Listen and write the prices. Ask student to open the books at page 49 - Give them a few seconds to look at the pictures to identify the clothes. Check understanding. - Play the recording more than once, if necessary, for pupils to listen and number the pictures. - Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary. - Check 2. PROCEDURES 1. Warm up skirt blouse T-shirt jeans trousers shoes 2. Listen and repeat. - Guiding Ss how to produce the sound of the words. - Play the CD. Ss pay attention to the stress marks (‘). - Listen and note. - Ss learn to produce the sound of the words: ’ sandals,’ trousers,’ jumper, ‘jacket. - Repeat in chorus. - Read in groups./ in pairs. 2. Look at the sentences and the stress mark (’)... - Ss look at the sentences, read in individual. - Listen to the tape and repeat the sentences twice in chorus. -Read in group/ in individual. 3. AIMS: After the lesson, students are able to: - pronounce correctly the sound of the stress marks(’). - develop: Listening and speaking skills. - look after, solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their friends. - Phonics: the stress marks(’) of words:’ sandals,’ trousers,’ jumper, ’jacket. B. RESOURCES: Students’ book, TV, laptop, board. C. PROCEDURES 1. Warm up: Ask sts to read the chant 1. Read and complete: Tell pupils that they are going to read the text and complete the table First, have them read the incomplete sentences under the text and elicit what words they need to fill the gap. Focus pupils on the clothes children wear Tet. Then ask them to read the text to find appropriate information to complete the sentences ( Give pupils time to do the task independently. Go around offering help, if necessary. Get them to swap their answers before checking as a class. If there is enough time, let some pairs ask And answer questions about the text. 2.. Draw clothing items and write their prices. - Guiding Ss how to complete the exercise. - Draw clothing items then read the suggestion sentences and write their prices in individual. - 2 Ss write on the board, 6-7 Ss read aloud the sentences they have written.The rest of the class listen & give comments 3.
