Period 53: Lesson 1 Teaching method and techniques: • Task-Based Language Teaching • Games: Pass the ball, Lucky numbers. Objectives: After the lesson, students are able to: • Recognize and pronounce the letters pl and its sound correctly. • Understand, recognize and say four words: plane, plate, plant, and plum. • Write the letters pl. Resources and Materials: Flashcards, laptop, speaker. Time Content Teacher’s activities and Ss’ activities 5’ I. Warm-up: - Greeting - T and Ss greet together. - Sing a song: Bingo - Open the song and asks Ss to sing along. - Game: Pass the ball.(Listen to music and pass) - Divide class into 2 or 3 teams. - Show the rule of the game. - Ask Ss to play the game. - Give feedback and points. 30’ II. Presentation: 1. Introduce the letters: pl - Use a card with letters pl(or write on the board the letterpl) to introduce to the students the new lesson.
